Letters of Invitation:
If you require a Visitor's Visa to enter Canada, please begin the application process as early as possible, as processing times can vary. You do not need to wait until your registration is confirmed to begin the Visa application process
To help us expedite your invitation letter, email ibic2026@triumf.ca to notify us of your request. You do not need to wait until your registration is confirmed to request an invitation letter.
Please include the following in the subject line:
Family Name, Visa Letter
Example: Smith, Visa Letter
When registration opens, you will be able to request an invitation letter through the registration system. We ask that you also submit your request there so we can maintain an accurate record in our database.
Please consult the Government of Canada Immigration and Citizenship website to determine whether you require a visa. Current Visitor Visa processing times may be verified here.
Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA):
As of March 15th, 2016, any delegates from visa-exempt countries must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before boarding a flight to Canada. The eTA costs C$7.00 and allows for pre-screening of visa exempt travellers. Additional information is available on the eTA Government of Canada website.
