Description
The PAL-XFEL BPM electronics were built on the MTCA platform through collaboration with SLAC. The BPM electronics have been operating stably for over eight years since 2016, but have been gradually upgraded due to component discontinuations and software bugs. Meanwhile, the construction of a new beamline is currently planned, and the operation mode of the electron beam will change from single-bunch to multi-bunch, necessitating further upgrades. This paper will introduce the current status of the PAL-XFEL BPM electronics, the recent upgrades and their results, and the future upgrade plans for multi-bunch processing.
