Description
The Shanghai soft X-ray Free-Electron Laser user facility has open to users since 2023. The electron beam is generated by Cu photocathode, integrated in an S-band electron gun. As the photocathode quantum efficiency drops to less than 1e-5, photocathode cleaning technology based on drive laser is used to improve the performance of the photocathode.
