Description
The 150 MeV electron linear accelerator (LINAC) serves as the primary injector for the Taiwan Photon Source (TPS), requiring high-precision beam stability and reliability to maintain top-up operation performance. Since the commencement of operation, the diagnostic systems—including integrating current transformers (ICTs), wall current monitors (WCMs), and profile monitors—have played a critical role in beam commissioning and routine maintenance. This paper presents an updated overview of the integrated diagnostic and RF monitoring infrastructure for the TPS 150 MeV LINAC. We discuss the current diagnostic layout and focus on the latest refinements in RF phase and amplitude monitoring, which are essential for controlling energy jitter and beam loading effects. Finally, we report on the current operational status and outline future strategies for further enhancing diagnostic resolution and system responsiveness to ensure the continued stability of the TPS injector.
