Description
The LCLS-II Free Electron Laser delivered 33 kHz X-ray beam to users for most of 2025 and also demonstrated stable X-ray beam production at 93 kHz. The Superconducting Linac shut down at the end of 2025 for installation activities supporting the LCLS-II-HE (High Energy) upgrade, with an anticipated accelerator restart in early 2027. Recent experience/progress will be summarized along with difficulties encountered. Plans for operation at higher electron beam energy and repetition rate will also be discussed.
