About Chengdu

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Chengdu—a city where ancient traditions dance with modern energy, and serene landscapes inspire groundbreaking ideas. As the host of this international conference, Chengdu’s Eastern New Area offers not only cutting-edge conference facilities but also an unforgettable journey into a metropolis celebrated for its warmth, culture, and vibrant spirit.

A City of Timeless Charm

With a history spanning over 3,000 years, Chengdu is a living testament to China’s enduring heritage. Known as the “Land of Abundance” for its fertile lands and tranquil lifestyle, the city invites you to explore its iconic symbols: the adorable giant pandas at the world-famous research base, the poetic bamboo groves of Wuhou Shrine, and the bustling Jinli Ancient Street, where silk lanterns illuminate tales of the past. Yet, Chengdu is far more than a relic of history—it is a dynamic hub where sleek skyscrapers rise beside ancient teahouses, and innovation thrives amidst timeless traditions.

A Feast for the Senses

No visit to Chengdu is complete without indulging in its culinary wonders. Recognized by UNESCO as a City of Gastronomy, the city offers a symphony of flavors, from the fiery allure of Sichuan hotpot to the delicate craftsmanship of dandan noodles. Between sessions, immerse yourself in the rhythm of local life: sip tea in a centuries-old teahouse, watch artisans craft intricate Shu embroidery, or unwind in the verdant tranquility of People’s Park.

Beyond the Conference

For those wishing to extend their stay, Chengdu serves as a gateway to breathtaking natural and cultural treasures. Venture to the awe-inspiring Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has nurtured this land for millennia, or embark on a day trip to the mystical Buddhist peaks of Mount Emei. Every experience here promises to enrich both mind and soul.

We hope that Chengdu’s unique blend of hospitality, heritage, and modernity will inspire meaningful discussions and lasting memories. Welcome, and enjoy your stay!
