Description

FLUTE (Ferninfrarot Linac- und Test-Experiment) is a compact and versatile linear accelerator at KIT designed for accelerator research and the generation of intense, ultrashort THz pulses for photon science. It will also serve as the injector for the Very Large Acceptance compact Storage Ring (VLA-cSR), which is being developed within the cSTART project. Stable RF power is essential for reliable electron acceleration in both the RF photoinjector and the linac. To meet these requirements, an upgraded RF system architecture has been proposed and implemented. This contribution presents the updated RF system design and reports on the commissioning status of the RF photoinjector, linac, and bunch compressor.
