Description
The newly established FLASHlab@PITZ beamline at DESY Zeuthen enables systematic studies in electron FLASH radiation therapy, with bunch charges adjustable to deliver both LDR and UHDR conditions. Reliable dosimetry is essential to characterize the irradiation settings for preclinical and detector-development work. The beamline operates in parallel to the SASE THz line and is connected via an achromatic dogleg, where the dispersion allows dark-current scraping. The following straight section includes a kicker system designed to distribute bunches over a 25 mm × 25 mm area; the vertical kicker is installed, with the horizontal unit to follow. Downstream of the exit window, a flexible experimental area supports a wide range of 22 MeV electrons irradiation setups.
Here we present the first dosimetry measurements from commissioning of the extended beamline. Dose-per-pulse, pulse-to-pulse stability, and transverse profiles were evaluated across different bunch charges and repetition rates using multiple detector systems.
