Description

The PEPITEs beam profiler is a vey low material budget monitor being developed by LLR/IN2P3.
The current design has a water-equivalent thickness of about 10 um, thus making the device attractive for online monitoring of hadrontherapy beams during treatments.
This contribution aims at estimating the footprint of the multiple Coulomb scattering and of the energy loss on CNAO hadrontherapy beams.
The estimation is obtained by characterising the beam phase space of the scattered beam by means of Monte Carlo simulations.
