Description

The reduction of emittance from third-generation to fourth-generation light sources is based on suppression of quantum excitation, while radiation damping becomes weaker. This leads to severe intra-beam scattering effect in fourth-generation light sources. To suppress this effect, this paper proposes a radiation damping enhanced lattice cell, which is numerically studied.
