Description
The High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) is a high-performance and high-energy synchrotron radiation light source with a beam energy of 6 GeV and an ultra-low emittance of 34 pm. Since the emittance of the storage ring is close to the diffraction limit, the beam size is extremely small, which requires the beam orbit fluctuation to be on the sub-micron level in both horizontal and vertical plane. In the early stage of beam commissioning, very strong low-frequency orbit motion was observed. This paper describes various targeted measurement experiments on vibration and power supply ripple, and finally locates the disturbance source to the low-frequency ripple of slow corrector magnets caused by cross-talk in the same cell. By adopting the frequency staggering method, the low-frequency disturbance of the corrector magnets has been significantly reduced, and the orbit stability of HEPS has been greatly improved.
