Description
Dynamic aperture represents a key parameter for the design and optimization of the nonlinear dynamics in a particle accelerator, often determined in simulation via particle tracking, or in a real machine using kicked beams. In either case the ultimate estimate and uncertainty on the dynamic aperture can be influenced by the method used to determine tracked particle or kicked beam action. With respect to realistic LHC models and measurements, the influence of different methods of action determination will be assessed.
