Description
At Pohang Light Source II (PLS-II), two diagnostic beamlines are currently in operation: a visible-light beamline (BL1B) and an X-ray beamline (BL7B). The visible diagnostic beamline is equipped with a transverse beam size monitor based on an interferometer, as well as a streak camera system. The X-ray diagnostic beamline operates two photon beam position monitors (PBPMs) and an X-ray pinhole camera. Recently, an online bunch length monitor using a photodiode has been developed and installed at the visible diagnostic beamline. This monitor provides real-time information on bunch-by-bunch length, intensity (fill pattern), and phase. In this presentation, we introduce the visible synchrotron radiation diagnostic beamline at PLS-II, including the newly commissioned online bunch length monitor, and report on its current operational status.
