Description
For the operation of the PERLE ERL in construction at IJCLab near Paris, the knowledge of the bunch length is paramount. We decided to use a 3 GHz RF cavity operating with a TE mode together with a screen station in order to carry out this measurement. RF simulations of this cavity will be reported as well as a first mechanical design.
