Description

The Taiwan Photon Source (TPS) is a 3 GeV synchrotron radiation facility located at the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC). Routine operations are scheduled to utilize either Hybrid or Uniform filling modes based on user requirements. Monitoring the electron beam filling pattern is crucial for maintaining operational stability and providing optimal experimental conditions for users. To obtain the high-resolution electron beam filling pattern, we implemented an Asynchronous Sampling technique, thereby avoiding the reliance on expensive, ultra-high sampling rate digitizers. By precisely controlling the sampling clock to generate a defined frequency offset relative to the main TPS Radio-Frequency (RF) clock, the system successfully extracts the high-frequency filling pattern information using a 500 MHz sampling rate digitizer. The system includes a single-board computer (SBC) which is integrated with the control system to implement the remote phase adjustment function, enhancing operational convenience. This paper details the implementation and commissioning efforts of this system, along with preliminary measurement data.
