Description
In recent years, the global demand for advanced cancer treatment solutions has risen significantly. To fill the domestic gap in the technology of X - ray intraoperative radiotherapy equipment, an electron linear accelerator tube for X - ray intraoperative radiotherapy equipment has been designed. The X - band is selected for the microwave frequency range, and the standing - wave accelerating structure is adopted, with an operating frequency of 9.3 GHz. Electromagnetic simulation software and beam dynamics simulation software are used to model, simulate, and optimize the parameters of the accelerator tube. Ultimately, it is calculated that the exit energy of the accelerator tube is 50 keV, and the electron capture efficiency is 42%. The overall accelerating structure consists of three cavities. After beam dynamics optimization, the length of the first cavity is 10 mm, which is used to accelerate the electron beam , and the length of the second cavity is 12 mm, which is used to optimize the electron beam energy spectrum, the length of the coupled cavity is 4.32mm. The total microwave power required for the two cavities is around 20 kW, and the voltage required for the equipment is within 10 kV.
