Description
Injection perturbation and beam losses on the ID low gaps are today's strongest limitation of the injection process in the ESRF-EBS storage ring, since it has started user operation in August 2020. While the use of non linear Kickers has been decided to achieve transparency, the development of a fast Strip-Line kicker has become increasingly interesting in several aspects, especially concerning the reduction of losses on low vertical gaps. The status of the design, production and tests of the set-up, as well as the road map of this project are discussed in this paper.
