Description

We present the ALISES 3 single-charged ECR ion source developed at the CEA. This source can produce high-intensity proton/deuton beams. Using commercial simulation tools, we model the key physical parameters such as the RF, magnetic, and electrostatic fields, as well as particle dynamics. These simulations describe particle behaviour and interaction. Thus, we will be able to have a complete model of single-charge ECR sources, which will open the way for an efficient improvement of sources within the CEA.
