Description
The idea of applying optical stochastic cooling (OSC) in a steady-state microbunching (SSMB) storage ring is investigated. The motivation of such a combination of OSC with SSMB is to enable the generation of high-power short-wavelength coherent radiation in a compact low-energy electron storage ring. The presented work is expected to be useful for both OSC and SSMB.
