Description
Monochromatization is a promising technique to reduce the center-of-mass (CM) energy spread in electron-positron colliders, offering improved precision for narrow-resonance and threshold measurements. While the concept has been extensively explored by simulation studies for low-energy e+e- colliders and more recently for high-energy colliders, such as FCC-ee, its implementation has never been experimentally realized in an existing collider. In this work, we present a preliminary optics design and performance study of a monochromatization scheme for SuperKEKB at KEK, Japan. The study represents an initial step towards preparing a viable optics configuration for a potential future experimental implementation of monochromatization at SuperKEKB.
