The deadline for the upload of contributions to the Proceedings of FLS’23 is: Wednesday, 23 August 2023 at 11:59 PM CET (UTC+1)
Paper Preparation
All work properly submitted and presented for FLS'23 will be included in the conference proceedings, which will be published at the JACoW website shortly after the conference.
Authors are reminded however that, since no contributions are accepted for publication only, any paper accepted for presentation, which is not presented by one of the authors at the conference, will be excluded from the proceedings. Furthermore, the Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to refuse papers for publication that have not been properly presented in the poster sessions. Manuscripts of contributions to the proceedings (or enlargements of them) are not considered as posters, and papers presented in this way will not be accepted for publication.
All contributions must be uploaded via SPMS according to the electronic submission guidelines.
Please only upload your final version.
JACoW Templates
Contributions to the proceedings must be prepared using the JACoW templates, which were updated in 2020 and contain more detailed information to help authors submit their work for publication. These include templates for MSWord, LaTeX, and OpenDocument.
The templates contain styles which, when applied, will automatically ensure correct typesetting and layout.
Length of Contributions
Invited oral presentations may be up to 5 pages (+1 courtesy page) long. Papers for both contributed oral and poster presentations may be up to 3 pages (+1 courtesy page). The courtesy page is primarily intended to ensure that authors have the opportunity to properly present their figures and references, which should be written in the format indicated in the new template (MSWord, LaTeX, OpenDocument).
JACoW Reference Search and Export
The JACoW search and citation export tool for accelerator conference proceedings allows citations of JACoW publications to be exported in the required format for direct inclusion in the authors's manuscript. The author are advised to use this tool for all JACoW conference related citations. More information can be found in this help page.
Non-JACoW References
It is crucial that all bibliographical references are written clearly and consistently across all the conference proceedings so that your papers and those of your colleagues can be easily found. Authors must use the EXACT formatting of references and citations as given in the templates. Examples and details can be found in the Annex B of the full template or on the JACoW website.
JACoW "Cat Scan Editor"
The JACoW Cat Scan Editor provides instant feedback on common formatting submissions of Word and LaTeX documents. Author's are requested to use this tool and to make any necessary corrections to their manuscript before uploading to SPMS. More information can be found on this help page.
At the discretion of the editorial team, papers with an excess of formatting problems will be returned to the author for revision.
