Description
The two accelerators test facilities KARA and FLUTE at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology have been using Control System Studio as the main GUI for over ten years. The migration to Phoebus allows us to renew the full middle layer stack of services, including alarm server, logbook, channel finder and save-and-restore system with an emphasis on a modular and containerized setup. The panels are served via a central highly available webserver stack, omitting the need to maintain local versions of our panels. This allows us to use continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) workflows to gather and publish panels from various different sources, such as EPICS modules, without requiring to copy and maintain such panels into our panel tree. This paper describes the technical setup of our full Phoebus stack and reports on the migration process of our existing panels.
