Description
This study aims to develop the Fast Orbit Interlock system (FOI) that can quickly determine situations caused by beam deviation during accelerator operation at the 4th generation synchrotron radiation facility. The FOI system is designed to detect minute beam orbital deviations in real time and thereby determine beam deviation during accelerator operation. The hardware and software of the system are currently being designed to implement high-speed data processing, network communication, and real-time control algorithms. Designed to provide higher accuracy and faster response time, performance evaluation will be conducted through prototypes. This study is expected to provide an important technical foundation for quickly stopping by judging the critical situation caused by the failure of the periphery due to beam deviation and radiation emissions above the allowable amount at the accelerator facility.
