Description

The QWR/HWR/Elliptical cavity cryomodules have been developed for proton and heavy-ion linacs at the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP) of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). In this paper, the development situation of the cryomodules for IMP has been reported. The application of some specific design effectively improves the commissioning performance of the cryomodule. These cryomodules are being installed in parallel across multiple lines in the assembly hall currently of CiADS (China initiative Accelerator Driven System) project. And on August 12, 2025, all 17 sets of cryomodules were installed online and started commissioned online of HIAF (High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility) project. The current biggest challenge is to complete the production, processing, manufacturing, integration and installation of a large number of cryomodules within the planned project schedule. This paper will report the design, assembling and commissioning of these cryomodules.
