Description
A compact neutron source comprising an RF-coupled RFQ and IH-cavity followed by a CH-cavity shall provide a neutron flux of 10^11 n/sec from primary protons at 2.0 MeV. The last two years saw intense efforts w.r.t. finalization of the beamline installation and its commissioning. A special challenge has been RF-tuning and high-power operation of the RF-coupled RFQ and IH-cavity.
