Description
The J-PARC Linac provides a high-intensity proton beam for use in a spallation neutron source, neutrino production, and hadron experiments. To accelerate the beam to 400 MeV, the J-PARC Linac uses 45 klystrons as its primary high-power radiofrequency (RF) source. This presentation reports on the operational statistics and failure cases of these RF sources over the past few years, as well as future upgrade plans.
