Description
A panel dedicated to the “State of the Industry” was held at FEL 2026 to discuss industrial opportunities as well as concerns involving new free-electron laser (FEL) systems sponsored by both government and industry. This panel was the second in a series that began with the inaugural industry session held in Warsaw, Poland at FEL 2024. In this 2026 conference, an array of panel members from higher education, government and government laboratories, not-for-profits, and industry, including those with experience in high-technology financing, provided a colorful viewpoint of the FEL marketplace today.
