Description

A program complex TrackKing has been developed for 6D fully-coupled parallel particle tracking with the usage of Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) technology by NVIDIA company. The input lattice data can be prepared in MAD8 or MAD-X format. To increase the tracking performance, a two-step compilation principle has been used. Besides the full beamline element library implemented in MAD-X, the following effects can be simulated: synchrotron radiation (SR), including its realistic distribution along the lattice, space charge, intrabeam scattering (IBS) and Touschek effect.
The software has been benchmarked against PTC module of MAD-X, its performance allows obtaining valuable results for real lattices even on a single desktop PC with a CUDA capable graphics processing unit (GPU). It has been used for the study of distributed SR and SR from quadrupole magnets in FCC-ee project, as well as for the dynamic aperture optimization and nonlinear quadrupole fringe field compensation in NICA project. Moreover, there is a long list of planned improvements and new features to be implemented.
