Poster Presentation MC2.A08 Linear Accelerators Tuesday Poster Session

Speaker

Yanshan Wang (Louisiana State University)

Description

The CAMD light source was proposed 40 years ago and reached its best performance and application at the end of last century. Many upgrades for current light source were made, including 7.5 T wiggler and 7 T WLS; and new light sources have been discussed since then. The outcome of the activity is not perfect for a new modern light source nowadays. Authers will survey CAMD-based users, propose a linac-based light source for Southeastern America, and design the linear accelerator based on newly accelerator theory and technology.
