Description
In this paper, we present the specification and design of a fast stripline kicker for enabling pseudo-single bunch operation in the SPEAR3 storage ring. We discuss both 2D and 3D RF structure designs, along with impedance calculations. Special attention is given to design considerations, including geometric constraints and the impedance impact of the small transverse aperture.
