Description
LCLS-II first stage commissioning is completed in the summer of 2023, with demonstration of 1kHz FELs using the superconducting CW electron beam. Operation-based electron beam and FEL commissioning has been continued with the goal of ramping up beam rate, improving the FEL performance, and developing advanced FEL operation modes. The commissioning challenges, the latest machine performance and user deliveries will be reviewed, and the next step plan for achieving the objective design performance will be discussed.
